October 15th

Hello!

I hope you all had a great weekend. Today I am going to give you a lighting demonstration in class. We will look at florescent/incandescent lighting, flash, key lighting, fill lighting, and bounce cards. After we are done the experiment I will show you the following video and upload the photos to the blog.

Fill Lighting

After watching the demonstration and video, respond to the following on your blog:

What effect do you think lighting has on the quality of a photo?

What effect do you think lighting has on the mood of a photo?

What type of lighting did you prefer the most? Why?

After responding to the above questions you can sign out a camera with a partner/group of 3 and shoot the following:

1 photo in natural sunlight
1 photo in flurescent lighting
1 photo with the flash on in sunlight
1 photo with the flash on in flursecent lighting
2 photos with an adjusted ISO in the classroom.  (The school cameras go from 80-1600 so try one from each end of the spectrum

When you are have finished taking these photos, upload them to your blog and label them.
